dear joy is a love letter. It is a letter to family, to friends, to community, and to our most honest way of living, a manifestation of a life centered in love. Throughout my career, I have found success in building relationships and community, but I've always felt a gentle pull to pour some of that energy into something more personal. I realized my heart could often be found at the espresso machine, crafting moments of stillness for others, and building toward a dream of one day welcoming you into my very own cafe.
I wanted to create something that feels intentional and true to the everyday human experience. Something simple, yet beautifully complex, that challenges the idea of moving too quickly through life. For us at Dear Joy, that means cherishing the small daily rituals that bring us joy, like coffee. High quality roasted beans and an intentional ritual to join it is what we aim to share with you.
Coffee is cross-cultural and possesses a unique power to bring people together, sitting at a table chatting over a cup is a universal language. Whether catching up with family in a quiet European village or in the warm sunroom of our home in Michigan, we love that dear joy can be an extension of those moments.
We are eager to share our product with you, handled with the utmost care. Joy is the name of Heaven’s late grandmother. She inspired a love for making mundane moments a little bit better, which grew into a passion for hosting and bringing people together.
